New to emmanuel?
If you're new to the area, an incoming student, or just want to find out more about what we do, then you're in the right place. Below is some information about Emmanuel Church as well as an overview of our student activities.
Here at Emmanuel we see ourselves as a family of faith. We place a high value on being a welcoming, inclusive community where every member, regardless of their age, feels included in the life of the whole church. As a church we are committed to seeing individuals grow in their walk with God and empowered to share His good news in wherever they are. If you'd like to find out more about the wider church family I'd encourage you to explore the visit page, or for information on how you could get involved have a look at the connect, grow and love pages.
As a reflection of our church's values the students and 20s meet in small discipleship triplets called fight clubs as well as larger groups called communities and gather as a whole community every week for the hub. Through they year we also have a weekend away, weekly student prayer gatherings, mission weeks and socials.
The best way to connect with us is by attending a Sunday morning meeting, which are held at the Durham Centre at 10.30am. As this is a little out of town, during term time the student bus runs picking students up from Durham City (click here for bus timetable). For four weeks from 8th October, we'll be having student lunches straight after church. If you can't make Sunday mornings during term time, you could also come along to the hub or drop John or Bekah an email on firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com and we can arrange a time to meet with one of our team.
