Fight Clubs are so called as they encourage our Students and 20s to “Fight the good fight of faith” (1 Timothy 6:12) in small groups of 2s and 3s. Running in addition to Small Groups and Communities, Fight Clubs help us to get down to the nitty gritty of living out of our faith on a day to day basis.
The particular elements covered when meeting vary from group to group, though Fight Clubs are encouraged to read a book of the Bible or a Christian book based on the Bible together as a foundation for discussion about real life issues.
They can be formed out of pre-existing close friendships but are also a great opportunity to develop new friendships and to draw newcomers into these close friendships. Once they reach four people, they are encouraged to “multiply” in order to retain a small, intimate feel.
