The charity I-connect is collecting books for a St Matthews' Education Society school in Jhadol, a small town 80km from Udaipur, India.
The school offers English language teaching for ages 3 to 11, in a rural area where few such opportunities are available.
It intends to register to expand its age range but to do so, it requires a library.
Second-hand fiction and non-fiction books for all age groups are needed.
For more information, get in touch.
Donations to cover shipping costs also welcome.
We are hugely grateful to everyone who serves so brilliantly with our children and young people. Thank you for all your efforts!
Over the summer, provision for children and youth at The Durham Centre on Sundays will be a bit different to usual.
If your child is aged 0 to 3, the creche will be open but we would ask you to stay with your child, as there will be no organised supervision.
If your child is aged 3 up to school year 6, so that's our Livewires, Ignite Infants and Ignites groups, they will be all together, upstairs in the Conference Room.
Those in school year 7 and up will be staying in the main meeting.
This will continue until Sunday 4th September inclusive.
We are always looking for more help in this area of service. For more information, see Pete Gray or Helen Edwards. Email: alvincacti@gmail.com
