Thanks to the young people from the Cre8 drama group, who produced this Christmas video that we're very happy to share with you all!
Janet's healing story
Janet Hayes has experienced a healing of her shoulder. Here's her amazing story:
โI had a problem with one of my shoulders for several months. This restricted movement and caused pain when I was doing normal everyday things like putting on a coat or picking up a bag and it was worse when I did physical activities like dancing. I was prayed for by friends - specifically for healing for the shoulder. At the time I felt as though greater movement was possible but did the usual thing of thinking โIs it, isnโt it, am I just imagining it because I want it to be better....โ. Over the following couple of days I realised I was no longer favouring the shoulder. I had normal movement and there was no pain involved. When I went dancing that week, I had the freedom to move without any pain. Since then I have had no problems with the shoulder. Life is so normal in that respect now that until hearing Claireโs story on Sunday I had forgotten that there ever was one.โ
Christmas at Emmanuel!
We've been getting into the Christmas spirit, with a free Christmas family fun day and carol services at Durham Town Hall and with Aycliffe and Brancepeth Brass Band.
The Durham Centre was transformed as we hosted our fun day and more than 300 people came through the doors to ride the rodeo reindeer, make crafts, meet Santa, have their faces painted, do nerf warfare and reflect on the Christmas message.
New for us this year was our carol service at Durham Town Hall, which was well attended, with mulled wine and mince pies enjoyed by all.
And Aycliffe and Brancepeth Brass Band led us in a fun-packed carol service back at TDC, with contributions from the church choir, Cre8 drama group and others.
Thanks to everyone who made these events such a success. And don't forget - our Christmas Family Service is Sunday 21st December at 10:30am at TDC.
