God Loves 2019 is here!

We know that God loves the world - He loves the world so much that He sent his son, Jesus, to die for us, so that we could live with him forever.

As followers of Jesus, it’s our privilege to reflect what we can of God’s love for the world around us.

One way we do this is through God Loves, our annual mission week of community service and fun events.

God Loves 2019 is under way and despite some awful weather, a group spent Wednesday afternoon praying, chatting to people about our Chester-le-Street Fun Day and helping out at REfUSE cafe.

On Thursday, we’re helping out at Durham Action on Single Housing, in Gilesgate.

And Friday… well, that depends on how the weather is looking!

Chris and Ronnie get baptised!

Well done to Chris and Ronnie who got baptised on Sunday 24th February!

Chris took the plunge in the unseasonably warm waters of the River Wear at Finchale Priory, while Ronnie was baptised at REfUSE cafe, in Chester-le-Street.

Both are part of our Chester-le-Street congregation. Hear their stories and watch them get baptised below!

Join us in The Living Room

Emmanuel Church Chester-le-Street is launching a new initiative titled The Living Room.

All are welcome to join us on a Sunday afternoon for games, crafts, hobbies, followed by afternoon tea. There'll be the chance to chat, meet people and be part of the family. 

The Living Room will take place at Bullion Hall, Chester-le-Street, from 3:00pm to 5:00pm on the following dates: Sunday 29th October, Sunday 19th November, Sunday 17th December, Sunday 21st January, Sunday 18th February, Sunday 18th March. 

Feel free to bring along games or crafts, something from your Living Room to make yourself at home and some food to share. Refreshments will be provided.

For the Sunday 29th October gathering, food will be provided by REfUSE.
