435.08kg of food collected for County Durham Foodbank

We are passionate about loving and serving the community we live in.

Recently, the Durham Christian Partnership have written to us to thank us for our efforts in collecting food for local foodbanks. So far in 2019, we have collected 435.08kg of food, which has provided 192 meals for local families in need!

On top of this, members of our congregations also volunteer with local foodbanks in different ways, such as picking up/delivering food, and helping to run the centres.

If you’d like to know more about how you can get involved, email us at info@emmanuel.org.uk.

Bacon, Brass Band and a bumper start to Christmas!

It was a packed weekend of Christmas fun and fundraising!

Our Christmas Family Fun Day was a fantastic success, and we've just heard that the Durham Christian Partnership stall raised £250 for their great work across County Durham.

Some of our young people, and youth leader Dan Baker, sell bacon sandwiches for good causes

That was followed by a bacon sandwich breakfast before church on Sunday, served for us by our young people, and raising money for good causes.

Finally, our Charity Brass Band Concert on Sunday night, featuring Aycliffe and Brancepeth Brass Band, was a fun and laughter-packed event, and raised £700 for the work if the If U Care Share Foundation.

Bring on next weekend's Christmas Family Service!
