Bacon, Brass Band and a bumper start to Christmas!

It was a packed weekend of Christmas fun and fundraising!

Our Christmas Family Fun Day was a fantastic success, and we've just heard that the Durham Christian Partnership stall raised £250 for their great work across County Durham.

Some of our young people, and youth leader Dan Baker, sell bacon sandwiches for good causes

That was followed by a bacon sandwich breakfast before church on Sunday, served for us by our young people, and raising money for good causes.

Finally, our Charity Brass Band Concert on Sunday night, featuring Aycliffe and Brancepeth Brass Band, was a fun and laughter-packed event, and raised £700 for the work if the If U Care Share Foundation.

Bring on next weekend's Christmas Family Service!

Hundreds enjoy Christmas Family Fun Day!

Wow! What a fantastic Christmas Family Fun Day! We had inflatables, crafts, face painting, big-screen computer games, carol singing, Santa's Grotto, a film room, henna, and so much more!

Around 400 people visited the event, and we hope everyone had lots of fun. Thanks to everyone who made it happen!

We're now looking forward to our Charity Brass Band Christmas Concert on Sunday 10th December at 5:00pm, featuring Aycliffe and Brancepeth Brass Band. Join us for fun, singalongs, carols and refreshments, all free. Happy Christmas!

Hub Conference 2017 Report

Thirteen people from Emmanuel recently attended this year's Regions Beyond Hub conference in Dubai. Three morning prayer meetings led into two full days of vibrant multi-cultural worship, prayer & teaching. The Hub gathered people from all across the globe, and it was a powerful time of connecting with others and being stirred up with our apostolic mandate.

Here is what some of those who went had to say:

Richard & Babara Davies said, "It was great to visit The Hub this year. The genuine warmth of the welcome from the local churches was amazing, their willingness to serve was outstanding; helping to set the scene and prepare the way for awesome times of praise and worship which easily lead us into the presence of God from the very first moment, which was intensified by the multicultural flavour and blend within the worship times, making them truly inspirational. All of this give an increased depth of understanding of our vision and about our family of churches, Regions Beyond. We are truly living up to our name. The early morning prayer meetings were inspiring as we prayed, worshipped God together and listened to different testimonies of God’s faithfulness. To be at The Hub was an amazing privilege, meeting new people from around the world and all part of the same family. Another evident aspect was the true humility of the leaders.”

- One of the highlights for Dave & Pam Bulman was when they randomly met Edgar and Isabel from Nashik, India and felt their enthusiasm and dedication. They were also impacted by the fact that churches are involved in mission; sharing resources locally and internationally. Indeed, here at Emmanuel we were able to facilitate three people to attend the Hub that would not have been able to do so. One from Qwa-qwa, South Africa and a couple from Varanashi, India.

As great as The Hub is, we don’t have to travel to Dubai to experience and engage with Regions Beyond however. Next year, we are holding Fusion 2018 in Norwich, UK, which is far more accessible. Early bird tickets are soon to run out so please do book promptly here.
