Emmanuel Church Football Club

We have a church football team, Emmanuel Church FC, which competes in the North East Christian Fellowship League (NECFL), playing against church teams from across the North East.
The club was founded in May 2009, with a two-fold mission: to strengthen fellowship and increase the feeling of family within the church and to use football as an evangelistic tool to witness to non-Christian friends.
Our vision is from 1 Corinthians 12:14-26, which emphasises the importance of building a team where everyone is valued and important.
In the 2015-16 season, the team won promotion to the NECFL Premier League.
We train weekly on Thursdays at the Riverside Leisure Complex, Chester-le-Street, from 8:00pm to 9:00pm. We play most of our matches on Saturday mornings, with our home games staged at the Riverside.
For more information, visit the team's Facebook page.

Emmanuel Church Cycling Club

If you fancy getting fitter, enjoying the fresh air around Durham or just want an excuse to wear lycra, then Emmanuel Church Cycling and Adventure Club may be for you.
Coached by Glenn Jones, we ride each Saturday, mostly avoiding roads, on a mixture of trails and railway tracks and some tougher terrain.
For more information, see Glenn Jones or visit the club's Facebook page.

Stretching

We host a stretching and core strength development class at The Durham Centre on Mondays, from 7:00pm to 8:00pm. The class is low-impact, open to all and led by Glenn Jones. Participants should take a towel.

Coffee and Chat

We hold a regular Coffee and Chat morning, at The Durham Centre on Fridays, about once a month. These times are open to all and are a great chance to come along and meet new people, or bring a friend.
