Humanitarian Mapping workshop

  • The Durham Centre DH11TN (map)

Maps are a vital and often missing resource for humanitarian work in a number of situations. We can practically help the Red Cross, MSF, and others, from here in Durham.

After Emmanuel's church service, let's go upstairs to for a session to create maps that will help out NGOs across the world. Where and for what use will be determined closer to the date depending on current events and needs across the world.

What to bring:
* Your laptop (required, touchscreen tablets/phones won't work).
* The charger for the laptop (in-case needed).
* A plug-in mouse (makes it easier than a laptop trackpad)
* Your own packed lunch/sandwiches (so you're not hungry)
* Under 16s are welcome with adult supervision (i.e. someone they can teach)
* A willingness to help others
* Please let me know if you're going to attend for the first time. If so I will lead a follow-along demonstration and explanation of what we're doing.
