The ‘TREK for Jesus’ Team provide a Sunday morning opportunity for children and young people to hear God’s Word through age-appropriate activities and to discover it’s relevance for their own lives, from babies and toddlers in the Explorers group, through Trekkers and Scramblers to Climbers. Ignite is a Friday evening event for junior age children which runs during school term-time.
Emmanuel YP meet on Sunday mornings and also meet twice a month for social events and to worship and to look at the relevance of God’s Word for our lives. For details of specific events, please contact us. We regularly organise trips to IX hour, a youth event hosted by Youth for Christ in Newcastle or Teesside (www.yfc.org.uk). We also take part in Newday, a week of camping, worship, teaching, outreach and lots of fun hosted by Newfrontiers each summer. It’s an event at which we have seen God powerfully at work among the young people bringing salvation and healing. (www.newday.xtn.org.uk).
